Mission: To educate members on legislative and public plicy issues affecting the quality of life of young professionals while serving as a voice of influence to the public, political, and economic, policy makers in the Valdosta/Lowndes County area.

Task Force Leader: Joanna Nijem

Brainstorming Series:  How can we support our existing businesses?  To answer this question, MetroOne participates in regular brainstorming and interview sessions with local businesses and community institutions including Valdosta State University, the Industrial Authority, and Valdosta Technical College.  The results are then published in a concise, user-friendly document and distributed to community leaders!

Policy:  We attend at least 2 city council and 2 county commission meetings to keep the membership aware of issues affecting young professionals as well as engage local officials so they are more alert to the needs and aspirations of emerging leaders.

Survey:  In order to better serve the Metro Valdosta young professional population, MetroOne completes an annual survey in October (young professionals month).  The results are then used to identify future MetroOne initiatives.

Presentations:  We hold 5 annual presentations for organizations (professional, educational, or civic) to share survey findings as well as the value of MetroOne to young professionals, businesses and the community.
