MetroOne is proud to announce that nominations for the 2010 Metro Valdosta Emerging Leader Awards are now being accepted. The goal of this program is to recognize and honor young professionals who are committed to shaping our region and making it a better place for everyone to work, play and stay! The goal of this program is to recognize and honor the young professionals who are committed to shaping our region and making it a better place for everyone to work, play and stay! The Metro Valdosta Emerging Leader Award will be given to the top ranking young professionals in our community following a competitive selection process. Candidates will be judged on: Career Accomplishment, Professional Expertise and Charitable Involvement. Candidates must be employed as a full-time professional, including self-employment, in the Metro Valdosta area and fall within the MetroOne age range of 21-40. The candidate or their business must be a Chamber member. Nomination forms and award criteria will be available for download at www.MetroOneValdosta.com on Monday, July 12 and must be submitted by Friday, July 23. "The Basics of Mentorship...Preparing for Leadership"

Join MetroOne for a Lunch-n-Learn covering the basics of mentorship. Learn how to find a mentor and how to make the most out of the relationship. Greg Justice (Regal Marine) will share how his leadership skills were impacted by his mentorship experiences.
